Over the years as a wedding photographer and videographer, and having started my career in Perth Western Australia, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing and videoing weddings at many prestigious venues and locations. But I have to say, no venue has ever beaten Caversham House. I remember my first wedding at Caversham. It felt like I had entered the film set of a big budget fairy-tale movie. My first wedding at Caversham House was Ana + Cain, back in January 2009, and many more followed. As I blogged my weddings, more brides who were getting married at Caversham House, would see my Caversham wedding videos, and exponentially, the number of weddings I was shooting at Caversham House kept growing and growing.
I remember one bride calling me to arrange an appointment, and she kept saying things like ‘On this couples wedding, I really like how they got married on the stairs, and I like how you filmed this part, and that part, but on this couples wedding, they were married in front of the water, and the bride walked down the stairs, and I liked that too”
Some of these brides were watching all of my Caversham Weddings before they would come to me!

Over the years, the staff at Caversham have been amazing, Johnny, Clark, Connie, and of course Eric. If you have your wedding at Caversham, be sure to tell them that I said hello!
Over the years I have shot 20 or more weddings at beautiful Caversham House. Most of them were ceremony and reception, while some were ceremony only, and others were reception only.

To thank Caversham House for their referrals, the amazing yummy supplier dinners, the jokes from the staff, and the stunning grounds that help to make my job as a wedding photographer and videographer a lot easier, I wanted to write this article and include some of my favorite memories from Caversham House for you to share and enjoy!

I have always said to brides ‘A Caversham Wedding is an easy wedding’! What exactly have I meant by that? Well the staff are so amazingly organized, and the place runs like clockwork. I have never had to worry about getting from one place to another, because it’s all there at Caversham House! Thirsty? The staff will always make sure that the bridal party and wedding vendors are well hydrated! And I’ve snuck a free ride on the buggie a few times too!

To Eric, Connie, Johnny, Clark, and all the amazing wait staff at Caversham House.. Thank you so much for everything over the years!
Although I’m relocating to California to embark on a new journey in San Diego wedding photography, I will absolutely have no hesitation in flying back for Caversham House brides and grooms.
An ocean and a plane ride won’t keep me away from the best wedding venue in the world!

Virginia’s wedding day, on the Caversham House stairs during her wedding vows in the rain. Caversham is prepared for all kinds of weather, so be confident that your outdoor ceremony is safe.

Emma + Luke had a February wedding at Caversham House. Emma walked down the stairs, her dress flowing behind her, and down the aisle to meet Luke in front of the water. The reception was stunning, and as you can see, Cavershams Marquee has a beautiful dancefloor. I had a great time getting the bride and groom to play with the giant chess pieces, which is my favorite addition at Caversham. Ceremony and Reception at Caversham House.

If you think that life shuts down on New Years Eve, think again! Ranita + Peter had their wedding at Caversham House on New Years Eve, and I couldn’t think of a better place to spend my new years! When I’m shooting video, it usually takes me a little while to pack up my equipment at the end of a reception, so it was great to spend New Years packing up with the amazing staff at Caversham House, and what a away to see the new year! Ranita and Peter had a very whimsical style wedding. The bride wore a stunning flower crown, and they did a ‘first look’ before the ceremony so that they’d have more time for photographs! We played with the chess pieces again too! Ceremony and Reception at Caversham House.

Hayley + Mike had a January wedding ceremony and reception at Caversham House. Just to confuse you, this video isn’t actually a video at all, it’s a ‘Stop Motion Wedding Animation’ compiled of thousands of photographs! Hayley and Mike did something very unique which I liked. They were married on the stairs at Caversham House, but Hayley also walked down the stairs to meet Mike, and the groomsmen who were waiting. That meant as the photographer, I had to walk down before her, photographing the girls as I walked down the stairs, and then sneak between the boys and run down the bottom stairs into position. Hayley is the only bride who has chosen to do it that way, but it turned out amazing.

Next up is a September Caversham House Wedding, of Nick and Shauna. Nick and Shauna also said their vows on the stairs at Caversham House. I’m sure you will enjoy their highlight clip. Trish Crisa of Bridal Classics did an amazing job with Shaunas hair. If you watch this video and are wondering why the boys didn’t have any pants on for some of the photos, well to put it simply, one of the groomsmen had to have his pants sewn up the morning of the wedding. We couldn’t take photos or video with one groomsman down a pair of pants, so I suggested all the boys take their pants off, including the groom. It definately made for some unique and funny shots. Shauna and Nick had a big photoshoot around the beautiful grounds at Caversham House, and Shauna did a father daughter bridal dance as well as her first dance with her new husband.

Anu + Brendan had a semi western semi Indian wedding at Caversham House. They said their vows on the beautiful staircase in Caversham House hidden gardens, before celebrating their wedding reception in the marquee. Anu and Brendan released doves during their wedding ceremony, and Anu changed her outfit into a more traditional Indian wedding dress for the reception.

Telia + Shaun said their vows in front of the water at Caversham House, and had part of their photoshoot on Caversham grounds as well, before heading elsewhere for photos and their reception.

I could easily post more, but I might just save that for another blog post to come later!
If you’re thinking about getting married at Caversham House, hopefully some of these happy weddings can help you make up your mind.
