Valley of Fire Wedding Photos Las Vegas Elopement of Liz and Brad. These two little Aussies from Queensland Australia wanted to have photographs at Valley of Fire National Park.
After celebrating their wedding day on Australia Day January 26th in Las Vegas, we embarked on a trash the dress shoot on January 27th! We weren’t able to fit Valley of Fire National Park into the schedule for the wedding day as it’s a fair long drive out of town to get there, and so we used the location for the photos on the following day.. Enjoy!

Brad does his best impersonation of Peter Garret dancing in the middle of the desert.

I absolutely love photographing fun couples, and Brad and Liz were constantly up for a non stop laugh on the big day, and the next day too.

I want you to imagine the photograph on the right (below) blown up on a wall, and lit from behind.. It’s one of my favourites!

Constantly snuggling and smiling on the camera, Brad and Liz weren’t afraid to strike a pose…

“Hey guys, go out there.. yonder.. keep walking.. go stand on that rock in the distance and look modelly.. that’s it.. yes yes that’s it!!”

“now flip the hair, and point your face in the sun, all modelly like.. yes yes.. that’s it.. Brad look whimsically into the distance.. yes yes… “

The coolest or strangest part about photographing Australians at the Valley of Fire National Park is that the colors are very similar to Ularu (IE Ayers Rock) in Central Australia!

I love to always mix up my photographs with a variety of landscape and portrait photos, and a large variety of close ups and wide shots, as well as a variety of classic portraiture with down right crazy fun shots.

“No cars out this way sheila.. I think we’re strandard!”

Excellent at following instructions, wedding groom Brad caresses Liz’s hair and then pulls her in for a romantic kiss.

Here is a photo of a rock.. Wait.. Are the bride and groom in this photo? Is this like a “Magic Eye” or “Where’s Wally” photo? If you look at it hard enough will they appear??

No.. No it really is just a photo of a big red rock.

Hey there they are! Bride and groom in the American outback!

Smile to light up a room!

I love this next photo because Brad, the groom looks like a total FBI agent here! With his rescued hostage princess!

Spycam! Peeping at the bride and groom through the bushes.. He still looks like an FBI agent.. or a hit man!

“Hey guys why don’t you sit in the middle of the road…” Love this photo

Back near the car and out of the line of other cars, snakes, scorpions, giant tarantulas and vultures.. Americans always like to tell us Australians that we’re from the scariest place on Earth.. but I guess they havn’t been to Nevada!

Wedding Day Selfies! Gotta do it.

Here are some more rocks.. if you stare hard enough you can see the bride and.. no.. no they’re not in this photo!

We pulled up on the side of the road when we realized there was no way that we could get to Mount Charleston in time to take snowy photos AND make it back to the Stratosphere in time to trash the dress!

We walked over to some less red dirt, and began to take some more photographs..

Liz shows off her garter to Brad.

Oh look.. I found some smoke bombs in my bag! Let’s play!

#brideswithhulahoops if you havn’t heard of the Brides with Hula Hoops craze then you’re just not cool enough! Ok ok.. it’s a me thing.. It’s a craze I’m determined to start and I’ve been working at it for a while! Look at Brad go! It’s Gangnam Style!

Love the romantic kissing in the mist shot..

“Ok guys… now walk moodily into the distance…”
