While I’ve been back in Australia on this 9 week visit to photograph 7 weddings before returning to California, Sophie got in touch with me and told me that she’d run away to Brisbane Australia, (also known as Bris-Vegas) and eloped! Who was this mystery man she eloped with? A Patrick Swayzee style dance master it would seem! So I caught up with Sophie + Pete at a park in the city, and we did these post “I’ve run away to get married” photos!
I did manage to get attacked by a mother duck during the shoot.. It seemed she didn’t really like the camera! That gave Sophie + Pete a bit of a laugh. Unfortunately I wasn’t quite quick enough to snap the attack on camera, as she came flying at me with her little webbed feet, and her bill squawking… but it gave Peter and Sophie a laugh!
Half way through the shoot Sophie asked if it was ok if they got some dancing shots… Was it ever!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with me, or my style of photography, I love to incorporate who people are into their photo-shoot, and I love for it to be fun and entertaining.. Needless to say this ‘Dancers Among Us’ style of post wedding bridal shoot is definitely up my alley!

So it’s all looking pretty normal so far… Good looking couple, frolicking in the park having a nice romantic time..
And then this happened….
So there you go.. I think I’ve known Sophie since 2009 and had no idea that she had this secret hidden pasttime and talent! It was great fun to photograph and I love the swooshy red dress!
