Vanessa + Sonny had around 2 hours for their family photos and bridal party portraits after the ceremony. Before heading to the reception in Mandurah, the chauffeur let us know that there would not be enough time with the Friday evening traffic, to go to the Mandurah foreshore for photographs which Vanessa had wanted to do initially, so we went to the reception venue earlier to use their grounds instead..
After the ceremony, we stayed at Fairbridge in Pinjarra for a little while to take some more photographs around the church and their general store. Here is the page boy and flower girl.
I love these photographs outside of the Fairbridge church. I asked Vanessa to swoosh her dress a little for Sonny.
At the General Store at Fairbridge at Pinjarra, we created some fun shots, by the boys pretending they didn’t know how to put fuel in the car.
I was excited about another opportunity to use the gorgeous red telephone booth on the grounds.
Remember the 1950s? How many boys can we fit in the phone booth?
The chauffeur was lovely, and took us to this olden style train track area for some photographs. I had never been to this location before, and loved it when he showed us, and Vanessa and Sonny loved it too.
“Let’s board the train..”
“What’s a nice girl like you doing at a train station like this?”
“Shall we go for a walk then?”
Then we headed back to the Pinjarra Suspension Bridge. Vanessa thought it would be a nice spot for some romantic photographs together.
Then we headed back to the Ravenswood Hotel where the reception was
“Let’s do a sweet peaking out shot!”
“Now everybody pull a crazy face!”
Finally, we went over to the trees near the water, and did a couple more fun and romantic shots.
I wanted to make sure we got a shot of the car with the entire bridal party. It was a little challenging at first because there was patchy light everywhere, but the Chauffer was lovely and more than happy enough to adjust the position of the Jaguar a couple of times and even hold his jacket up in the air to block a patch of sun that kept trying to shine on peoples forheads. I love the final result we got! What a fun bridal party.
Here is the token photograph of me with bride and groom Vanessa’s + Sonny. One of the groomsmen was a photographer so he was kind enough to take the shot! (He took it with my 5dmk2, which is why I’m holding my 70d)
I’ve had the best time photographing you guys, and what an amazing bridal party. Thank you for being so much fun.
