Vanessa + Sonny got ready at Mandurah Quay Resort for their wedding day. I wanted to capture some beautiful and natural wedding preparation photographs for their big day. Sonny + Vanessa were both getting ready at the same location, but in different rooms. This makes it a little easier sometimes when the bride and groom are getting ready at the same place, because if we’re running on a tight schedule, it eliminates the driving between. Let me show you how the story of Sonny + Vanessa went on the day!

The groomsmen laugh at a joke while they button up their vests.

The boys had some unique buckles on their belts. Here they are showing them off and having a bit of a laugh about it.

We did a couple of “Zoolander” shots before going back to natural + candid photographs of the boys getting dressed.

Then we went back inside with the groomsmen to share a drink for some photographs. Cheers.

These two handsome gentlemen are Sonny’s brother and his son. A little camera shy but that never got in the way.

Of course I always love to take some handsome portraits of each of the groomsmen on their own.

Vanessa admires her dress hanging in a tree outside. There wasn’t a lot of space in the room as there were a few dozen family members in there, so I had to get creative about displaying the dress.

Look at these cute little munchkins. Sonny’s brothers daughter and son, the flower girl and page boy.

and with a few simple instructions, we had our own little mini modelling shoot.

 

Vanessa’s dad was very good at displaying emotion for the camera.

 

What a beautiful and stunning bride Vanessa made. Such a gorgeous and natural smile too.
