Best Places to Take Engagement Photos in Atlanta

These locations can also be used on your wedding day with some careful planning. Many of my brides and grooms choose to have their wedding ceremony and reception at different locations so that they can have bridal party portraits at allternate locations either before or after the ceremony.

How to choose the best photoshoot locations for your engagement session, or your wedding portraits.

As a photographer who is known for creating unique and fun engagement and wedding day photographs, I am often asked by my couples ‘Where are the best places to take engagement photos in Atlanta?’ Well my answer to that is always that it depends on your personality, and who YOU are as a couple. What does that mean exactly? Well for the couple who absolutely love walking the dog and playing football, what better than Piedmont Park? At Piedmont they can run with the dogs, and then change outfits while they throw the football. This article is designed to help brides and grooms with mindmapping and brainstorming so that they chose the best locations for their engagement session.

I would love to talk to you about your big day, and would love to hear your thoughts on the suggestions here. Some of my favorite engagement photo locations have been the most obscure and random places. You can select the perfect loation for your engagement and wedding photographs.  Read on.

I have to admit that I’ve been a little tardy at labeling my blog posts with categories, so I’m going to be categorizing my blog posts in the next month or so after wedding season eases up, and then you will be able to easily find some of my past engagement sessions, which include using gyms, pinball museums, and other fun places. You can find some of my engagement sessions here.

WHAT PLACES HAVE MEANING TO  BOTH OF YOU?

Bert Adams Scout Reservation Atlanta Engagement Session Locations

Where did you meet? Megan and Yahn met eachother while working as camp councellors at Bert Adams Scout Reservation in Covington Georgia. They wanted to do their engagement session there as it was a place with a special meaning for them. You can view their engagement session here.

So think about where the two of you met and if it’s a place you would like to incorporate into your engagement or wedding pictures. Think about other significant times in your relationship. Where did he propose? Where did you tell eachother you loved eachother for the first time?

WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO BOTH OF YOU?

Sometimes couples just want to use a beautiful and quiet park near their home. Do you have pets that you want to include in your engagement session? Kita and Josh wanted to include their two beloved dogs in their photoshoot and so we organized a little picnic session in a local park. The photoshoot was beautiful and relaxed and very private. The location didn’t have a lot of people coming or going and so it was nice and easy to just focus on creating some beautiful photographs. You can view Kita and Josh’s blog post here.

So ask yourself, what parks or private reserves are near where you live? Could they be used as a best location for Atlanta engagement photos for you?
