Once you have your licence, you either need to find a chapel, OR what I suggest to my couples is to find an officiant of your liking, and then you can get married anywhere. Many of the Las Vegas wedding chapels actually ban you from bringing your own photographer and videographer. They do this so that they can force you to use their in house photographer and videographer. Most of the time these aren’t professional photographers or videographers but rather somebody who was just hired for minimum wage and given a camera to use. “Why would they do that?” you ask? Well they do that so that the casinos that are making more profit than any other corporation in the world, can make even more profit from you. If you read online reviews you will see some of the higher end casinos have charged brides over $6,000 for their photos, but the photographers cannot leave the grounds, and the photographers take a list of ‘standard photos’ and brides who get married this way often find out too late that they could have gotten married anywhere, had an officiant solemnize their marriage, and then have the photos of their dreams.. If photography and video is not important to you, and if you’re just wanting to get married as quickly and cheaply as possible then you might not care about this fact, however if you really want to get married as cheaply as possible you can do so by getting married for free at any public location. Keep in mind you just have to find an officiant and pay them. Somebody with no money at all can probably manage to find a way to get married in Las Vegas, but like anywhere in the world, a classy and beautiful wedding is likely to cost $6,000 – $20,000 depending on if you value photography and video and the little details, and of course if you have guests and an expensive meal then the price will go up a lot.
