So Sonny and Vanessa are getting married tomorrow in Pinjarra, and I am so totally excited!
These guys booked me almost 2 years ago for their wedding photography.
I’m so excited because beautiful Fairbridge in Pinjarra have been using my photographs on their promotional material for several years now, so I love every single chance I get to shoot another wedding down there!
Sonny and Vanessa are so much fun! If you didn’t see the previous engagement shoot we did around the streets of Perth in October 2014 then you can check it out here.
Sonny and Vanessa are very creative and quirky, and they really wanted to squeeze in another shoot before the big day! You can see that Vanessa has gone for a more subtle hair color for her big day, and they brought along their bicycles to have a ride around the park.
The plan for the wedding tomorrow, is that I will be arriving at the groom prep with Sonny and his friends around 9.30am. I will be shooting some candid and fun photographs of the boys getting ready, as well as the detailed shots of the rings, and any other important items, before getting shots of the boys getting dressed, and then getting a mix of fun and more relaxed portraits.
Hopefully Sonnys dad will be there, so I can get some nice father and son shots too.
Then after an hour, I will be heading to the girls bridal preparation, with Vanessa and her bridesmaids. I like to allow 90 minutes to get shots of the dress, shoes, and other detailed items, as well as the finishing touches of the hair and makeup, before the bridesmaids get dressed, and assist the bride into her gown.
Beautiful bride Vanessa will be walking down the aisle to Sonny, her soon to be husband at 1pm, so that means I will need to be at the church by 12.30pm to get some more detailed shots, photos of the groom waiting, as well as some shots of guests arriving.
After the ceremony we have allowed 15 minutes for all of the congratulations and hugs, before we start the family photos at 2pm, and then we’re going to take a fun half hour to photograph the bride, groom, and bridal party on the Fairbridge venue grounds, before heading to the Suspension Bridge for photographs.
The reception doesn’t start until 6pm, so we’re going to have a comfortable and relaxed 3 hours of location photographs between the family photographs finishing at 2.30pm, and the bride and groom arriving early enough at their reception to have a little rest and freshen up at 5.30 for a 6pm walk in!
I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do, and Vanessa and Sonny, I will see you tomorrow morning at 9am! I’m so excited I can’t wait.
xoxo Sky Simone
