Have you ever wanted to trash the dress in a swimming pool? Have you seen “Trash the Dress” photographs and wondered how a bride and groom get the courage to get into a swimming pool or ocean for wedding photographs? Well Liz and Brad wanted to celebrate their wedding day in a way that was unique and fun. They’re Australians from Queensland and chose January 26th which is Australia Day to get married in Las Vegas. The day after their wedding we embarked on this fun journey to trash the dress in a swimming pool. We started the day at the Valley of Fire national park in Las Vegas Nevada, and then we stopped by some white sands on the drive back to the Stratosphere to take some more photographs. When we arrived back at the Stratosphere hotel on the Las Vegas Strip it was already freezing.. Liz was ready to chicken out.. but I wasn’t about to let her and I can be very convincing with a big smile, and some whiney begging.. “Now remember.. the discomfort is short term.. but the photographs are forever..” *insert pouty face here with a slight puppy whine..*
The Stratosphere hotel pool staff advised Liz and Brad that the pool was heated, but only enough to prevent the water freezing to ice.. That wasn’t overly reassuring but theses tough Aussies weren’t about to let a little cold stand in there way…. Or were they…

Can you tell how cold they are in this next photograph? #worstweddingphotographerever The poor bride Liz was absolutely freezing! What seemed like a doable task suddenly became a little less doable.. SO I put my thinking cap on..
We moved over to the spa, which was heated.. I love this next photo of Bride and Groom, Liz and Brad gracefully under the waters surface.. It reminds me of an artistic cross between an ballet and somebody trapped under an icy lake..
Brad kept laughing as his tie kept hitting him in the face, but I quite enjoyed the artistic position that the tie chose to lay in..
This next shot is one of my favorites. Liz and Brad trash the dress in a swimming pool.

Now it’s time to get out of the pool and dry off..
