I had the most amazing time photographing Rosie and Rowans wedding on Monday. contacted me about 5 weeks before the wedding day to ask if I was available that Monday, and he basically planned almost the entire wedding himself from the UK.
Since they live in England, bride and groom Rosie and Rowan had to plan their Las Vegas wedding online. They got married at one of the little chapels downtown which does not allow photographers or videographers, and so I met with them at the chapel after the ceremony at 5.30pm and off we went to take photographs.
As you can see Rosie wore a gorgeous retro 60s like wedding gown with long sleeves, and Rowan had those Beatles like 60s stove pipe pants with a suit jacket, and being from England they definately weren’t prepared for the 114.08 degree weather!
At 5.53pm it was 111.92 degrees!
At 3.53pm as they were getting ready to say their vows it was 114.08 degrees.
By 6.53pm it was cooling slightly to 109.94
At 11.53pm when we were finishing up at the Bellagio fountains it was still 98.96 degrees!
For the English and Australians reading this right now, that’s a maximum of 46 degrees, and a midnight temperature of 37.2
I kept reminding them to drink more water and we went into just about every store that we passed.
We started off in the blazing hot sun. We walked around the streets looking at various different fun backdrops, including lots of zebra crossings to do some Abbey Road style Beatles photographs, and then headed into downtown Fremont Street.
