Sonny + Vanessa had their reception at the Ravenswood Hotel in Mandurah. Most of the reception photographs are a candid documentation of the moments of the night. I love to try to capture the moment just at the right time to get the smilese, movement, and emotion of the night.
Here is a photograph of Vanessa as she gave a section of her bouquet to her mother.
And that fun shoe game made it into the reception! If you havn’t heard of the shoe game, the bride and groom sit back to back, and hold one of each of their shoes. People will ask a question like “Who is more likely to be grumpy in the morning” or “who has the most hair gel” and the bride and groom raise the shoe of the person relevant to their response. It always gets some laughs.
After the bride and groom speech, they cut the cake, before heading to the dance floor for their first dance as a married couple.
I try to sneak in as many candid shots of dancing as I can. 
Vanessa changed into this purple dress before saying their farewells.
